The College of Lake County is currently searching for an Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator to join the Community Education Department. The part-time Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator, under the supervision of the Dean for Adult Education and ESL, is responsible for providing a full range of management services to all off-campus instructional sites, marketing of the program to the community, and recruitment. The Coordinator is expected to work with partners such as educational and community groups to assist them in providing ABE, ASE, ESL instruction. This individual is responsible for preparing marketing and recruitment materials, and assisting with marketing, recruiting, enrolling and coordinating services for students at off-campus sites. The position is also responsible for general marketing of the program to the community.
Regular Part-Time Board established positions earn Vacation and Sick Leave and Tuition waiver for CLC classes and Tuition Reimbursement for advanced degrees. In addition, employees are eligible to participate in the State University Retirement System (SURS)

Required Qualification(s)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three (3) years of combined work experience within customer service, marketing, or public relations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work with a diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of students, faculty and staff
Desired Qualification(s)
- Experience working with community organizations
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Familiarity with managing social media platforms

Summary of Essential Functions
Department Operations and Procedures: 50%
- Works with Public Relations to prepare marketing materials such as brochures, fliers, newsletters, post cards, and social media for promoting the Adult Education program and for recruitment purposes, including its transition programs.
- Coordinates, communicates and supports the ABE/ASE/ESL programs at off-campus sites by providing necessary admissions, testing, advisement, and registration services.
- Provides awareness of adult education transition to college and workforce programs to the community sites.
- Assist in the monitoring of activities of the high school coordinators and meets with school contacts to coordinate services.
- Work with the CLC Purchasing and Contracts office to assist in the development of and compliance with the lease agreements between CLC and the community sites.
- Reviews assessment or performance metrics of the community sites and recommends strategies for retention and performance.
- Distributes books and other instructional materials to community sites.
- Monitor enrollment at the community sites to identify recruitment and outreach strategies to increase enrollment.
Student and Customer Service: 45%
- Develops and maintains the social media accounts that promote the program; and interacts with community members through postings.
- Attends internal and community events to promote the Adult Education program.
- Works with faculty assigned to teach at community sites to provide support, program updates and guidelines, expectations, and resources.
- Visits the community sites regularly to monitor and address needs of students, faculty, and the community site.
Other: 5%
- Calls students to remind them to register.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
